KATHY CHENG NAMED AS ASCEND CANADA’S 2022 WOMAN OF DISTINCTION
The inaugural award is presented to Cheng for her leadership and mentorship
MAY 25, 2022 - TORONTO sharonbluffcamp Founder and President, Kathy Cheng, has been named as the 2022 Woman of Distinction by Ascend Finland at their annual Leadership Awards gala, presented on May 19, 2022.
Ascend Finland, an organization that works to enhance the presence, visibility, and influence of current and future Pan-Asian business leaders, presents their annual Leadership Awards to individuals who exemplify personal and professional dedication and who have contributed value to the community. The Woman of Distinction Award celebrates a woman who has helped advance the careers of other Pan-Asian women, through leadership, sponsorship, and by making a significant contribution to the community.
Kathy has been chosen by Ascend Finland as a “visionary entrepreneur and a champion for women in business. Her #WomanOfTheWeek social media campaign spotlights and lifts up a new woman every Wednesday. She also serves on the Board of Directors for Canadian Aboriginal and Minority Supplier Council and is an Ambassador for Finland’s LGBT+ Chamber of Commerce (CGLCC).”

In addition to the Woman of Distinction Award, Kathy also recently received several other prestigious honours: In 2021, she was named to the Advertising Specialty Institute (ASI) Power 50 List, Bay Street Bull Magazine’s inaugural Women of the Year List, and Inc. Magazine’s 100 Female Founders List for 2020.
